The charger waits for the battery to cool down before charging, and it takes 2 hours to charge. However, I mowed the whole yard in about 25 minutes, and it drained the whole battery, and heated it up. Overall, build quality seems nice, looks like the deck is made of metal, so that's a win, the motor/battery housing is mostly plastic, which could be an issue if the mower is stored outside for a long time(plastic could get brittle). I have not yet tried using side discharge or bagging, which I suspect would help a lot in the thicker parts of the grass. It powered right through even the thickest parts of the ~8000 square foot lawn(again, right after it rained). To give this mower an extra challenge, I mowed right after the sun came out(it has been raining off and on for days), and it hasn't been mowed in over a week(an eternity in Washington, where it rains a lot).
I mowed the lawn once, and I must say, it does perform well, about as well as my gas mower that it is replacing. SO, I just bought the 80v Atlas mower(I got the push one, not the more expensive self-propelled), a single 80v 2.5Ah battery, and a standard charger.
EDIT: I used the 40 volt string trimmer as well, it's really good as well, easily more powerful than my old gas one.
